Kashif Khan is a seasoned investment banking professional with more than two decades of experience. He has a novel working with major global investments banks such as Citigroup and Deutsche Bank, as well as top regional financial services firms. Starting his career with Wall street he has worked with Merrill Lynch and Salomon Smith Barney. After spending several years on Wall Street , he since then has built and maintained an extensive professional network . He has a strong reputation for his expertise and business acumen in the global markets , including the U.S. , Middle East and Asia . During the course of his career , he has originated , structured and executed multibillion dollars transactions , advising on mergers and acquisitions , capital raising , business carve – outs , and restructuring . In 2012 , he co – founded Abwab Capital , a boutique investment banking firm at the Dubai International Financial Center , and successfully ran it for eight years . His last role was as the SEO & Managing Director for Wahed Invest DIFC , a New York based Fintech firm with global reach . In his current role as the Deputy CEO BMK , Mr. Khan is responsible to grow BMK’s Investment Banking and Asset Management business . He also serves on several advisory boards companies in Pakistan and the Middle East , within various sectors , such as Energy , Financial Services , Hospitality , and Education . Even though Mr. Khan is based in the Middle East , he has focused on contributing to the economic growth in Pakistan . He has been instrumental in the foreign direct investment by the Middle Eastern investors in Pakistan . These investments have been in an array of sectors including Financial Services , Energy , Real Estate , Hospitality , Healthcare , and Education . Currently , Mr. Khan is taking an initiative to assist Pakistan’s Venture Capital industry in collaboration with a UAE based VC firm , in co – investing in upcoming start – up businesses – with an objective to create a ‘ Silicon – Valley ‘ type ecosystem in Pakistan for foreign investors in emerging technology and businesses .Mr. Khan is also the Founder and President of PEOPLE ( Pakistani Executives Organization for Promotion of Leadership & Entrepreneurship ) , a voluntary not – for – profit association dedicated . towards promotion of excellence and entrepreneurship within the Pakistani diaspora and investment community , primarily based in the Middle East . PEOPLE’s provides a platform for networking and mentorship opportunities , with an aim to enhance business opportunities for Middle Eastern business leaders , entrepreneurs and professionals . PEOPLE is collaborating with top Pakistani business schools to launch the Entrepreneurship Program – a program where the business launched by the students at these universities are coached by the management of PEOPLE . Mr. Khan attended University of Oxford’s Said Business School as part of the Executive MBA Program . He holds a BBA from Pace University’s Lubin School of Business in New York .
